The final of the Buckinghamshire Ladies County Championships was an all-junior affair after two youngsters beat off competition from the more experienced heads to challenge for the title.

Rachel Drummond (Beaconsfield GC) and Steph Gough (Ellesborough GC) showed maturity beyond their years at Gough's home course to set up what is believed to be the event's first ever all-junior final.

En-route to the final Drummond faced Clara Leathers in a repeat of last year's final and exacted revenge. The other semi-final was an all-Ellesborough match with Gough triumphing over Jess Burrows.

Drummond's experience in last year's final proved crucial as she beat Gough on the 18th in a thrilling finish to become the 2008 champion.
