Oxford Ladies' county captain Justine Lawrence has claimed the Henley Golf Club Ladies Club Championship for a remarkable 12th time.

Lawrence, who is the BB&O Golf Partnership golf development officer, shot two rounds of 75 for a combined 150 to take her seventh consecutive title.

Her total was also the joint-lowest score in the history of the event - equalling the previous best score set by herself.

Lawrence, who plays off a handicap of five, said: "This year has been quite special for me. Because I have been juggling the county captaincy with my golf development role I was not sure how my game would hold up.

"I went to see Rob Watts, head pro at Castle Royle and the bio-mechanics coach for Darren Clarke, last November. He made a few swing changes which has had a big effect."

Runner-up was Sally Woolven with rounds of 79 and 78 for a total of 157.
