Chipstead ladies raise cash for Breakthrough Breast Cancer

The ladies at Chipstead Golf Club raised more than £2,500 for the charity Breakthrough Breast Cancer, smashing existing records for both player entries and money raised.

Chipstead's Jean Ambler said "It was fantastic to see so many enthusiastic people here supporting this important work. To raise so much money in just a few hours is remarkable - it is our best yet."

Anne Sexton from the RAC Golf Club, in Epsom, won the Stableford competition, beating 87 other competitors with her total of 38 points.
