South West Golf News - A new beginning ...

Welcome to a great new section in Fairway to Green / GOLFLINKS covering the South West region.


During the months to come, we'll be featuring all the news from the counties of Gloucestershire, Somerset, Devon, Cornwall, Wiltshire and Dorset - and we want you, the reader, to play an important
part.


Send us your stories and photographs for inclusion in the South West section and we'll do our best to publish them in the next issue of the magazine on online via these pages. Tell us all about those unforgettable hole-in-ones, club competitions and the unusual tales which are constantly flying around clubhouses all over the region.


We can then tell everyone else. In this first issue we launch a fantastic new column with West Country tour rookie Chris Wood whose amazing feat in finishing fifth in last year's Open catapulted him into the world golf spotlight.


Chris provides a fascinating insight into life on the European Tour and we also introduce his fitness trainer, Andy Wadsworth, who has played a vital role in this talented young man's progress over the last four years.


Andy will be showing golfers of every standard just how they can benefit from a fitness and training routine which is geared up specifically to help them play their chosen sport to the best of their  abilities.
