Mike plays his ‘Ace’ card

Mentmore Golf & Country Club member Mike Bowen enjoyed a wonderful ‘hole in one’ on the 2nd hole of the Rothschild course at Mentmore.

Mike who has been a member at Mentmore since ’97 and now playing of a handicap of 12 produced this superb shot playing in the weekly senior’s stableford.

Mike, who is past senior’s captain, said: “I decided to use a 4-iron and it was the perfect strike that just tracked towards the flag all the way. Upon approaching the green I saw a ball towards the back of the green which was not mine and upon further searching we discovered my ball was in the cup!”

Mike celebrated his superb golfing feat by buying a round of drinks for the entire senior’s field.
