Bob Harris, the PGA professional at North Oxford GC for the past 20 years, has been appointed general manager to steer the club into its second century.
He is succeeded by 34-year-old Lee Jackson, the head teaching professional at Bicester Golf and Country Club, who was coached by Harris as a junior at North Oxford when he was nine-yearsold.
Harris, 49, said: "The club has already announced exciting plans to improve the course and clubhouse to celebrate its centenary and I am looking forward to playing a part in seeing those plans coming to fruition."
He will also be responsible for general management of the club, including researching new business as well as implementing decisions made by the club's management committee.
North Oxford is planning to extend the water feature on the course, establish new teeing grounds and to revamp its 1970s-style clubhouse.
Jackson, who became NOGC junior captain before going on to win the prestigious BB&O Boddington Trophy, was the youngest player to represent the club in the Shaw League.
