Golfing on windy days just became a little more predictable

iPhones and similarly powerful hand-helds are changing the way the world does things on a daily basis. Now you can find the wind speed before you participate in a round of Golf or any outdoor activity you choose. It just keeps getting better.

The new innovation called the "Wind Meter" app makes predictability possible. The makers of this app say, "It's really blown us away that it's been in the Top 5 Paid Downloaded Weather Applications at Apple I tunes for 3 weeks now!"

A complete description and video of the application in use can be found at www.windapp.com. "Wind Meter" can be obtained at Apple iTunes app store.

The concept for "Wind Meter" came from a young group of Silicon Valley entrepreneurs that happen to love sports and in particular, the game of Golf. The idea for converting the decibel reading from the wind "noise" on the mic to a velocity reading almost seemed obvious after-the-fact, and we were a little surprised that we were the first to release this concept into the iPhone applications market. After a considerable amount of R&D, Wind Meter is a really fun gadget that actually works.

As per R&A and USGA golf rules, we are confident that the Wind Meter can be used during all regular play, practice rounds and before tournaments.
