Your Golf Travel.com to help the heroes

Your Golf Travel.com is aiming to raise more than £5,000 for wounded servicemen through a charity golf day.

Europe's fastest growing golf-travel company is holding a Help for Heroes Golf Day at Donnington Grove Country Club, Berkshire, on Thursday, July 16, and has high hopes for its success.

Andrew Harding, managing director of Your Golf Travel.com, said: "Our previous charity days have been hugely successful and we're hoping to get just as much support for this one.

"It'll be a fantastic day out on a great course and it's an opportunity to raise money for a very worthwhile cause."

The competition will see teams of four competing in a Stableford format with the best two scores on each hole counting.

There will be prizes for the top three teams as well as two nearest-the-pin competitions and a beat-the-pro contest.

The day costs £200 for a team of four, just £50 per player, and includes coffee and bacon rolls on arrival and buffet food after the golf, in addition to the prize presentation and a fundraising auction.

The maximum handicap for men taking part is 24 while ladies can have up to 36 shots.
