Chase corporate golf day raises over £23k

A fantastic day's golf was enjoyed by 18 teams at the CHASE Corporate Golf Day held at Burhill Golf Club, Walton on Thames on Monday June 8.

The day combined both team and individual competitions, using the Stableford scoring system (The best two scores count on each hole with full handicap allowance). Prizes were awarded to the top scoring team and the best scoring individual.

Winning Team - Zolfo Cooper with 92 points
Winning Individual - Richard Morris with 40 points

Excellent golf was rewarded with some excellent team prizes kindly donated by TaylorMade, Classic British Hotels, Laurent Perrier and Callaway.

Special guest at this prestigious event was one of the nation's favourite personalities, Keith Chegwin who did a magnificent job as MC and auctioneer.

He had no problem raising over £9,600 with fantastic auction prizes donated by BBC's Garry Richardson; Farebrother Chartered Surveyors, Sky's Tim Barter and Foxhills Resort and Spa, and Small Luxury Hotels of the World. The top prize donated by Garrigae & Co of two weeks at the new luxury resort of Jardins de Saint Benoit, in Languedoc, France, raised an amazing £2,500. In total the event raised around £23,366 on the day.

CHASE Corporate Fundraising Manager Natalie Madigan said: "This was a wonderful day's golf. Thanks go to all those team members who came along to play, the companies who were extremely generous in providing some fantastic team prizes and auction prizes and of course Burhill Golf Club for hosting the event.

CHASE supports families with children throughout South West London, Surrey and Sussex who are unlikely to live to reach the age of 19. We need £4 million to maintain this vital service which is why events such as the Corporate golf day are so important to us."
