With 400 bedrooms in two hotels, two exceptional spas, two state-of-the-art health clubs, tennis courts, shooting, fishing, mountain biking, walking trails, a kids’ club and crèche, and four outstanding restaurants,The Celtic Manor Resort is also the ideal place to unwind off course.

The new Twenty Ten Course opened for play in July 2007. The first course to be built specifically for The Ryder Cup, it measures a robust 7,493 yards off the back tees and has a par of 71.

With water hazards on half of its holes, the course has six signature holes and presents many memorable tests and risk-and-reward dilemmas.

The new Montgomerie Course also opened in July 2007. Designed by Colin Montgomerie, the course features some spectacular tee shots over ravines as well as some dramatic descents to greens.

The resort’s original Roman Road course, designed by Robert Trent Jones, provided a beautifully-conditioned playing stage for The Celtic Manor Wales Open from 2005-2007. All three courses at The Celtic Manor Resort offer a fantastic challenge and the trio are all very different in character, adding up to one of the most complete golfing destinations in Europe.

The Celtic Manor Resort is offering FTG readers the chance to win a five-star, two-night stay on a bed-&-breakfast basis with a round of golf on either the Montgomerie or Roman Road courses.
