Brokenhurst Manor Golf Club drive forward with a New Manager

Brokenhurst Manor Golf Club is delighted to welcome Neil Hallam Jones as the new Secretary Manager from 1st September 2009.
In his new position, Neil will oversee the daily operations of the Club, which is consistently recognised as one of the premier golf courses in the New Forest.
Ken Wattam, Chairman at Brokenhurst Manor Golf Club states, "Neil, who most recently served at Hindhead Golf Club, brings a wealth of golfing and business experience to the Club. He has proved himself as a dedicated and effective manager and his energy, creativity and knowledge of the golf market will be a tremendous asset to Brokenhurst Manor Golf Club".
Neil Hallam Jones who first played golf at the age of 13 years, when he was a junior member at Tredegar Park Golf Club in Newport, South Wales, now plays off a handicap of nine.
Neil had a 12 year engagement in the Army as a Royal Engineer and left with the intention to become a Golf Club Secretary. In April 1987, at the age of 29 years, he became the youngest member of the Association of Golf Club Secretaries when he took over as Secretary of Willesley Park Golf Club near Ashby de la Zouch, Leicestershire. In 1994 Neil moved to Barton on Sea Golf Club, where he stayed for 8 years and in 2002 he joined M H Systems, a golf club management software provider, as the Area Sales Manager for the South of England. In 2004 Neil took on the role as Club Secretary at Hindhead Golf Course, where he has enjoyed a successful 5 year role.
Neil is looking forward to the challenge of his new position and being based much closer to his family home in Barton on Sea, where he lives with his wife Sarah and 3 children, Dale, David and Laura.
