TEAM EUROPE
As a player Nick Faldo was one of the most talented and successful of his generation - including an impressive career record in the Ryder Cup.
As European Team Captain it was a different story as his team slumped to a 16.5 - 11.5 defeat and ended the continent's dream of a fourth straight victory in the competition at Valhalla.
Faldo, who said after the match he was unsure if would captain a second time, said he had "no regrets" and was proud of his Ryder Cup team. "One of my goals was to leave knowing I did my best for the team and I'm more than happy. I'm proud of everyone. All 24 guys gave their all and we came up short," he told reporters.

TEAM USA
The United States claimed their first Ryder Cup triumph since 1999 with a crushing 16½-11½ victory over Europe.
Leading 9-7 going into Sunday's singles, Paul Azinger's men reached the 14½ points they needed for victory when Jim Furyk beat Miguel Angel Jimenez.
It put the contest beyond doubt with four matches left out on the course.
"It was amazing - the golf was spectacular on both sides and our guys came out on top," said Azinger. "I'm just emotional. We had a plan and stuck to it."
Team USA now look to their defence - they will defend the trophy at Celtic Manor, Wales in 2010.
